On the 8th and 9th of April, we participated in the Estonian Cities and Municipalities Days, connected with local authorities and showcased several of our inspiring projects.
Our Chairman, Urmas Kõlli, gave a presentation and led a discussion on the topic 'Digital Sovereignty – What Does It Mean for Estonia?'"
Head of Space Domain, Oliver Stimmer, gave a presentation entitled "Identifying unauthorised buildings using AI (Satellite Data and Orthophotos)", highlighting projects undertaken across Estonia and Spain.
AS Datel has been partnering with local governments in Estonia for 35 years:
Datel Software team creates and implements software systems, adapts existing IT solutions, and provides training and support for users. We are currently developing a local government public opinion poll environment platform for the Association of Estonian Cities and Municipalities. Additionally, we are developing a brand-new, modern planning register for Tallinn.
Datel ICT team offers information and communication technology (ICT) solutions and support services. For instance, we successfully completed a project covering the entire Estonian school network. With almost 5,500 Wi-Fi base stations, it is the largest network of its kind in Northern Europe.
ICT team also assists in creating information security systems that comply with Estonian security standard, and facilitate cybersecurity trainings.
Presentation Technology team provides comprehensive solutions including design, equipment sales and rentals, installation, and after-sales service. A recent highlight is the TalTech Mektory building, which has been equipped with a state-of-the-art hashtag#audiovideo- system this year.
Space Technology team helps local governments to identify unauthorized buildings (Catanova), and to monitor infrastructure subsidence, including bridges, ports, mining areas, and large-scale buildings (Sille.space, Infrastructure Monitoring System SILLE).
