A fully automatic system for benefits to the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund
The system saves the working time of specialists of the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, and thus significantly speeds up the granting and payment of benefits. Also, a smarter system, according to the Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund, helps to reduce the risk of some important benefits being delayed due to incorrectly entered data.

Datel is a part of European Space Agency project studying the Sun
Scientific research spacecraft Solar Orbiter has launched on its journey to study the Sun on February 9. The Solar Orbiter will address big questions in Solar System science to help scientists understand how our star creates and controls the giant bubble of plasma that surrounds the whole Solar System and influences the planets within it. It is an ESA mission with strong NASA participation.
Our engineers are helping to select suitable technologies for storing and archiving data collected by Solar Orbiter. Understanding in detail how the Sun works is the key to understanding both how it generates its life-giving energy and also how to protect our technology and way of life.
AS Datel welcomed the TalTech´s AI challenge
Our employees are participating in a free online course called Elements of AI that opens doors to the exciting world of artificial intelligence. The course was developed in 2018 by the University of Helsinki and Reaktor OY by university professors, data scientists and designers with the purpose to help better understand artificial intelligence and its social role. As it happens, “The Elements of AI” is already the most popular computer science course in the world, according to Class Central, a free online course aggregator, and surpasses the online courses of educational superstars such as Stanford, Harvard and MIT.

Datel became a member of the Estonian Defense Industry Association
Estonian Defence Industry Association (EDIA) was founded in 2009 and represents leading defence and security industry companies in Estonia. Estonian Defence and Security Industry Innovation Cluster was first established in 2012. Defence Estonia Cluster is a network for international cooperation and export to enhance the cooperation between Estonian companies, R&D institutions and clients. Cluster and its members participate in international projects and programs to increase export capability and sales of the Estonian companies on the defence and security markets.
Datel is contributing to the United Nations 2025 Global Environmental Data Strategy
Agu Leinfeld, Director of Software Development and Technology, AS Datel, participates in UN Science Policy Business Forum on the Environment. November 4 - 9, Canberra, Australia.
The Forum will convene organisations from across sectors at GEO Week 2019 in Australia on the topic of Big Data and Frontier Technologies.

Datel analyzed Metallica concert through SAR eye, using the Early Warning system SILLE
In July 2019, Tartu hosted the world-famous Metallica concert with more than 65,000 visitors. The city decided to seize the opportunity and collect all kind of data around this event and organize Data Science Seminar.
